Summer session runs in two 3-week sessions (weeks of June 9, 16, 23 and weeks of July 14, 21, 28). There's still time to register for July, a camp, a workshop, or our 1-day event on August 4th.
Our 2026-27 Schedule will be available 7/1/26. And registration will open at noon on 7/8/26.

Before You Register
If your dancer or family is taking multiple classes and you want them in the same recital show, please make sure your selections are all for the same recital show. For each class, it is noted on the schedule as well as in the class title in the registration system. If circumstances beyond our control require it and we have to break our recitals into smaller shows, we will do our best to keep a dancer’s dances in the same show.
Registration Process
Registering is done through our Parent Portal.
Registrations are on a first-come, first-served basis. Our school year classes typically all run (even with as few as 3), but you will be notified if a class will not run and we will get you into your second choice class should that happen.
If you are interested in a class, we recommend registering as soon as possible. As classes fill and we need another section of a class, we may pull a class off the schedule that doesn’t have any registrations.
Pricing & Discounts
Pricing: Pricing is on our schedule. For example: a 45-minute class for 32 weeks (including a dance costume for a 10 year old), the cost for the year is $462 and is paid in 10 monthly payments. 10% ($46) at registration AND $46 for the nine months (Sept-May) to equal the $462. Billing runs the first few days of each month.
Another example is: a 45-minute Intro class for 32 weeks (including a dance costume for a 5 year old), the cost for the year is $383 and is paid in 10 monthly payments. 10% ($38.30) at registration AND $38.30 for the nine months (Sept-May).

There is a 5% discount on all classes (with the exception of team classes/costs) when multiple classes are signed up for within the same family.
On Wednesday, 7/8/24, at noon, our registration for 2026-27 will open through our Parent Portal.

Holding a Spot & Autopay
If you want to hold a spot, but not pay as you register, make your selections and when you get to the payment screen, email info@theatticdance.com and we can post the 10% to your account and it can be paid by August 31st.
From the parent portal you are able to set up an autopay that will run once per month within the first few days of the month.
Summer Class Info
Summer classes/camps/workshops show as registration cost in the parent portal and not as tuition, but the registration cost is the cost of the class with no additional registration fees. We do it this way to not mess up our school year tuitions with the overlap of summer opening before the school year program ends and fall opening before summer ends.
Please note for summer as is noted on the schedule, summer is all prepay with no discounts, refunds, or credits for missed classes. We want to run a summer session if our dances/families want a summer session and are willing to commit to that. We found that without this policy, by the time we get to summer (and into summer) we have so many cancellations that it is not feasible to run a summer session and pay our expenses and instructors. The only way we can sustain through the summer and be there for families come fall is to have this in place.
We hope you can understand. We know summer is busy and dancers may need to miss some classes with vacations/missions trips/camps, etc.
Fees
We charge for classes and spring recital costumes only. There are no registration or miscellaneous fees.
Class costs and spring recital costume fees are noted on our schedule. Our program is 32 weeks in length (31 weeks for Monday and Thursday classes) with 4 weeks built in as off weeks (weeks of 11/23, 12/21, 12/28 and 3/29).

Off Days & Program Dates
Off Days/Weeks: Our session begins the Tuesday after Labor Day (9/8/26) and ends on May 15, 2027 with our recital.
We will have class on every date between except for the following built in off-weeks: November 23-27, December 21-25, December 28-January 1, and March 29-April 2.
Program Structure
Our Program: We offer a school year program that runs in two parts and a summer session that runs for two 3-week sessions in the summer.

School Year: The first part is from 9/8/26-12/17/26 with a Christmas performance in our studio (or nearby location) the week before Christmas break (which will be Dec 14-17). The second is from 1/4/27-5/15/27 with a spring recital held in a local auditorium.

For the Christmas performance costumes are not used and our dancers wear a red shirt and black bottoms (shorts, capris, or full-length). For recital, we use costumes and fees are $63 for 6 and under and $78 for ages 7+. Costume piece or pieces, tights (if needed) and any hairpiece needed will be included. Costume fees are included in your class fees.
Recital Participation & Opt-Out
You can participate in our classes and opt out of participating in recital, but we must know that by January 10th.
If you opt out, any costume fees will be credited back to your account.
We will hold your spot through May’s recital unless you have given us different direction. Since we do hold the spot, we just ask that you let us know by December 1st if you will not be dancing the second half of the year with us (our recital semester), so we have an opportunity to fill the spot by January.

If you have any concerns with scheduling/classes, please let us know in Sept or in January. Once we leave those months, we start working on dances and it impacts the other dancers in the class (their part they have learned will then change) should someone leave mid-session.
Making Changes and Withdrawing
We want very happy dancers who look forward to their classes.
If this is not the case, please stop by the desk to let us know within the first few weeks of class. We will work with you to find another placement.
But we request no changes after September 30th in the fall and after January 15th for recital session or it will impact the other dancers in the class and changes will need to be made to what they have learned).
Recital Date & Picture Day
Recital date is Saturday, May 15, 2027. Recital will be held in a high school type auditorium venue.
Dress rehearsals run on recital day right before each show.
We will have a recital picture day where there is an opportunity to purchase individual pictures, we take group pictures, and take a “final bow” video of each class for recital.
There will be a time slot specified for each class and the dates for this will be Friday, April 23rd (late afternoon/evening) and Saturday, April 24th (morning and early afternoon).
Picture day will be held at The Attic and we ask that all recital participants attend (unless conflicts with other big events such as weddings, graduations, etc.) so we can get a group picture and a recital “final bow” clip of all dancers.
Team Opportunities
In addition to our classes, we offer a performance as well as a competitive dance team option.

Performance teams and a hip hop competitive intermediate team can be added through September 8th (providing there is availability).
All other team placements (including solos, duets, trios, groups) are determined through an assessment process that takes place in May for the upcoming year.
